The effect of information uroliferation has made the library playing an
important role in transmitting information and delivering documents to users either
athome or at office through various networks. The primary goal in the
informationsociety is to enhance the effectiveness of resource sharing endeavours
among theacademic and research sectors. Many universities, both public and private,
here inTaiwan have developed their own campus-wide information networks in
recentyears in order to promote their teaching and research activities as well as to
increase the efficiency of administration. How to integrate briween the library
services and campus networks to attain the goal of resource sharing is the main
objective to be discussed in this article.
