The term "Five Elements" is diverted from "Five-strip lrrigation System" in Hsia Dynasty. The spatial distribution patterns of Five Elements changed from five strips to five elemental cells in Eastern Chou Dynasty. Well-field land-use system in earlier Chou period played a perceptual environmental role for the change. This article is to provide information and explanation on the linkage between well-field and the spatial concept of five elements. In addition, "Five Element landscape' is served to remove the metaphysical cover of Five Elements from "geographic" point of view.
