效度概化(validity generalization)是由Schmidt、Hunter與Urry (1976)根據整合分析(meta-analysis)概念所提出，用來探討效度概化(普遍化)程度的分析方法。透過效度概化模式的計算，研究者可以將以往有關相同「效標－預期」的研究結果整合起來，進而建立共通的測驗效度理論。在運動科學研究範圍中，擁有相當多效度概化研究的空間，值得研究投入與探索，也希望透過效度概化的研究，能夠提高與增進運動科學的研究理論與原則。
