     本文旨於報導一個鐵路列車模擬模式及如何應用它估計高雄捷運系統橘線列車最 小班距。該列車模擬模式考慮了鐵路車輛、路線、與號誌等三大系統特性,模式結構充分反 映各系統單元間之功能關係與交互影響,故模式可以有效地顯現各系統單元改變對鐵路路線 上列車營運之影響。本文對規劃中之高雄橘線進行分析,測試本模擬模式之功能,並探討高 雄橘線之最小班距。
     This paper presents a train movement simulator and its application to analyzing the practical minimum headway for Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit (KMRT) orange line. First, the paper shows how the characteristics of a rail line, the motion capabilities of a motor vehicle, and the control functions of a railway signal system can be integrated in a simulation model. Hence, the model is able to inivestigate the effects of any change in these factors on railway operations. After that, some results of an empirical study for KMRT orange line are presented to show the practical relationship between minimum headway and train delay.
