     本研究的主要目的即在藉由線性結構關係的多變項迴歸分析及徑路分析,探討影 響重度障礙者在轉銜階段時生活素質的因素,並進而建立一個具有因果關係的重度障礙者生 活素質徑路分析模式,以作為重度障礙者生活素質相關研究之參考,以及制定改善身心障礙 者生活素質政策時之依據。本研究並期望能藉此研究的經驗與結果,能更進一步地擴展相關 的研究者對於線性結構關係以及徑路分析研究的興趣,以期對其他不同類別障礙者的生活素 質進行相似性的研究。茲歸納本研究重要的結果如下:(一 ) 藉由線性結構關係為主的多變 項迴歸分析九項自變數對生活素質影響的結果發現,僅有四項因素有顯著的差異存在。此四 項變數分別為:(1) 智能障礙的嚴重程度、(2) 居住社區的型式、(3) 中學階段的工作經驗 ,以及 (4) 功能性的適應行為。至於 (1) 年齡、(2) 性別、(3) 離校時間的長短、(4) 家 庭的型式與因素、(5) 中學時參與課外活動的情形等五項對於重度障礙者的生活素質則無顯 著的影響。(二 ) 藉由徑路分析獲致一個潛在的生活素質轉銜因果解釋模式,該模式顯示重 度障礙者的智障因素,所居社區因素、適應行為因素、中學工作因素等,對於其離校後的生 活素質有直接的影響,而重度障礙者的家庭因素對於其離校後的生活素質雖無直接的影響但 卻有間接的影響;此外,各因素彼此間亦有不同的直接與間接的影響。(三 ) 重度障礙者的 智能障礙程度愈嚴重者、愈住在偏遠與貧窮的社區者、其本身的功能性適應能力愈差者、或 缺乏中學階段的工作經驗者,其生活素質也愈差;相反地,重度障礙者的智能障礙程度愈輕 者、愈住在城市與富裕的社區者、其本身的功能性適應能力愈佳者、或具有中學階段的工作 經驗者,其生活素質也愈高。(四 ) 重度障礙者的「適應行為」因素與智能障礙因素對於重 度障礙者的生活素質狀況具有較高預測指標。
     This research investigated the factors affecting quality-of-life outcomes and a theoretical causal-effect model of quality of life for youth with seven disabilities in transition from youth to adulthood, in order to develop a framework that might practically benefit policy-making, educational intervention, and theoretical research. Four factors (i.e., community, level of mental retardation, adaptive behavior, high-school work experiences) that had significant influences on the quality of life of youth with severe disabilities were identified through LISREL-based multiple regression analyses. A modified version of the original hypothetical causal-effect model was also statistically supported. Overall, the current study not only illustrates the applications of multivariate measures and cluster analysis to examine the quality-of-life construct and transition patterns of youth with severe disabilities, but also expands general explanatory transition research by using LISREL-based causal-effect analyses (e.g., path analysis). Recommendations are offered concerning the implications of these findings for future research, school practice, and transition services.
