托尼非語文智力測驗(Test of Nonverbal Intelligence, TONI)是Linda Brown,
Rita J. Sherbenou, 及 Susan K.Johnsen三位學者於1982年所編製並於1990年修訂為托尼
非語文智力測驗第二版(TONI-2)，托尼非語文智力測驗第二版包含A、B兩式各有55題圖形辨
認的題目，用來評量5至85歲受試抽象圖形推理及問題解決能力，施測時間全長約為30分鐘
。研究者自原出版公司(Pro-ed)取得版權後即開始著手進行中文版之修訂，中文版之測驗在
A、B兩式各增加了八題較簡易之題目，使成為各有63題之「托尼非語文智力測驗甲式」及「
托尼非語文智力測驗乙式」，在經過525個樣本的預試後，即以隨機取樣方式抽取4至18歲
代表性樣本甲式及乙式分別為4,313人及4,292人，建立四至十八歲的百分等級及離差智商
常模。間隔兩週在國小及國中所作的前後測所得之重測信度係數為.55及.88，複本信度係數
分別為.682及.787，內部一致性係數在.748與.925之間，尚稱理想，本測驗之效度亦可接受
：與SPM之間的關聯係數在.402至.761之間，與學業之間的關聯係數在.261至.800之間,與年
齡之間亦呈明顯之正相關。

　　　　　The Test of Nonverbal Intelligence (TONI)was first developed by Linda
Brown, Rita J, sherbenou, and Susan K. Johnsen in 1982 and revised in 1990
(TONI-2). The TONI-2, comprised of 55 figure identification items in both A and
B forms, is to assess general reasoning and problem-solving abilites of subjects
between 5 to 85 years of age.
Administration of TONI-2 takes about 30 minutes. After being granted the
copyright of Chinese version from publisher, the Pro-ed, Inc., the TONI-2 was
revised into Chinese. The Chinese version has 63 items (with 8 newly added lower
level items)for each forms. It was pre-tesed on 525 subjects and standardized,
using randomly stratified sampling method, on 4,313 (Form A) and 4,292 (From B)
students of age 4 to 18. The raw score can be converted to deviation IQ and
percentile rank. Test-retest reliability coefficients over a 2-week period were
.55-.88, correlation coefficients between two forms were .682 - .787, Cronbach
α were .748-.925 Validity was satisfactorily demonstrated by correlation
pupils' performance on SPM (.402- .761) and academic achievement (.216 - .800).
It also showed a clear positive linear trend with age.
