Along with the popularity of computer networks, the networked information resources are proliferated. There're lots of directories available as tools for the accessibility to these information, such as Archie, Hytelnet, Gopher, WAIS, World-Wide Web, and others, like TopNode database, OCLC's NetFirst, which are all based on the traditional library searching approaches.
