In coping with the impacts of trade liberalization and other economic structure changes, many industrialized countries would design and implement labor adjustment policies as reponses, Canada is not exceptional. Therefore, the essay is focusing on the discussion of Canadian labor adjustment policies, in particular their direction and content. After the discussion, the essay would discuss what the R.O.C. would learn from Canadian experience. On the whole, the essay is divided into five sections, explaining the background of the essay, the reasons behind the Canadian participation in the NAFTA, the direction and content of Canadian labor adjustment policies, and Canadian experience that the R.O.C. could learn, respectively. Finally, the author makes suggestions to the decision makers of the R.O.C.
