One of the most important factors to decide whether or not a language teaching is successful is to provide students with comprehensible lessons. If students do not understand teaching material or their teachers, they do not learn. In order to select appropriate teaching materials that fit the student's needs and proficiency level and to facilitate comprehension in the class, the program designer and the teacher must take into account two questions, namely what to teach and how to teach. What to teach can be generally defined as the teaching content. The content of teaching must be useful and meaningful to students and fit for students' proficiency level. And most of all, it must be interesting so that it can raise the student's motivation. As to how to teach, it refers to strategies to provide students with comprehensible lessons, to provide English which approximate the proficiency levels of the students, to provide enough input, and to get students to use the input for real communication.
