This paper documents the development of the first interactive "Tsing -Wei Web Museum" in Taiwan over the past one year. Based on the rationale of Distrance Life-Long Learning, the "Tsing-Wei Web Museum" was created on the Internet in April 1997. This paper describes the procedure of its development, administration, and its role in social educatio. It also presents the challenges in running the museum, the strategies to increase its interaction with users, and the research and future development of the museum.
