Many factors ought to be taken into consideration in developing the product form. In addition to the functional view, designers also need to consider the operation dimensions, the user's environment and the internal mechanism of a product. The attention paid to these points is due to the fact that human's physical and psychological reaction.(i.e., Visual, tactile and perceptual feeling) will be affected by the meaning of the product form. As far as the product form is concemed, it should be developed according to the user's habits and experience so as to make explicit the semioties. If the product form can clearly express how it works by itself, then the semiotic function is fulfilled. To use the semiotic theory applying on the product form appropriately as a development method of product design theory will be the main content and aim of this study.
