In this paper, the visual recognition for icon matching is studied. The icons are divided into geometric type and concrete type. The accuracy for people's recognition on icon matching is studied under different icon sizes. The reasons for affecting the recognition of visual icons are also discussed. Experimental results show that the position arrangements and shapes of icons can affect the recognition accuracy. The recognition for concrete type of icons is more sensitive in icon size and has less recognition accuracy than other type of icons. The sizes, perturbation of shapes and colors of icons can affect the recognition accuracy. The recognition for circle icons has the least sensitivity in size among all the icons.
