This essay deals with educational ideas of Jane Addams and her experiences of social reforms through which she contributed her life and wisdoms to the welfare of the immigrants, minority, and American people as a whole. There are five major parts of this esay: 1) Jane Addam's historical background: 2) The influence of Americanization upon American education; 3) Jane Addams' educational concerns for the immigrants; 4) Jane Addam's educational theories; 5) Jane Addam's educational policy. The author points out that during the time when Jane Addams was working in the Hull-House she not only realized the philosophical goals of her sociaalized education but found a right track to follow for her career development and she had genuinely helped those who needed helps with her unselfish altrusim. In conclusion the author emphasizes that as a progressive educational theorist and practicer, Jane Addams was among the first women to initiate minority protection, multicultural education, and the feminist movement.
