The Multimedia System has been widely applied to many areas as assisted instruction, education training, simulation and presentation, etc. Many researchers show that Multimedia CAI as an assisted instruction could improve the learning effects in many areas. However, it is rare to find an application of Multimedia CAI in physical education and motor learning in Taiwan. The following will discuss the theories of motor learning and the special characteristics and function of Multimedia CAI as well as introduce the research results and standpoints from scholars in Taiwan and abroad. The specially designed interactive mode and various visual feed- back for Multimedia CAI system can be helpful for physical education and motor learning. The authors try to develop a Multimedia motor learning CAI system and explain the theory, principle and design rationale behind the system. The authors hope that this would be helpful for those who are interested and want to explore more in the motor learning CAI system area.
