21世紀以來,美國新聞傳播學教育現狀主要體現在以下幾個方面:特色分明的院系設置、與時俱進的課程改革、深刻激烈的教育反思、嚴密有序的外部協助與監督。未來,美國的新聞傳播學教育將會在特色教育、專業基礎、社會需求、傳播科技等方面不斷深入發展。由此啟發我國的新聞傳播學教育需要以特色教學為根本,在強調學生專業能力的基礎上應用新技術,同時,重視外部支持與有效監督。

In 21st century, the current situation of American journalism and mass communication education is embodied in following aspects: set up featured institutes, reform curriculum in time, reflect education profoundly and arrange external assistance and supervision. In the future, American journalism and mass communication education will develop in following aspects: characteristics of education, professional foundation, social needs, and communication technology. It is inspire journalism and mass communication education in China to take the characteristic teaching as the foundation, apply the new technology on the basis of emphasizing the students’ professional ability, pay attention to the external support and the effective supervision for the education.
