"文學公共領域"是哈貝馬斯政治哲學中的基礎概念,是"代表型公共領域"向"資產階級公共領域"過渡的中介,更是西方政治公共領域的前身。新興資產階級文學家在這一領域中圍繞文學話題展開辯論與討論,確立了資產階級公共交往模式,訓練了他們公共輿論的技巧,從而為政治公共領域的形成做好了準備。但是在從德語譯為英語再譯為漢語的過程中,"文學公共領域"一詞出現了大量譯法和由此引起的誤讀,本文嘗試修正這些錯誤,并對英國文學公共領域進行國別性的研究,分析英國文學公共領域得以先聲奪人的諸因素,總結這一領域"互動性建構""歷史性錨定""文化性生成"和"構成上的多聲部性"特征,從而為拓展文學公共領域研究提供參考。

Literary public sphere is the basic concept of Habermasian political philosophy,which indicates a transitional period between representative public sphere and bourgeois public sphere.The rising bourgeois writers debated and discussed literary topics in this sphere to practice their skills of rational communicating and public opinion making,which laid a solid foundation for the formation of the political public sphere.This article corrects some mistranslations and misinterpretations of this concept based on a historical research into the origin of it,and studies British literary public sphere in details and summarizes its characteristics so as to promote the studies of public sphere.
