In the Chinese collections of Museu do Oriente,Lisbon, the most distinctive ones must be those books formerly collected in Musée Kwok On,Paris. Such books are largely from the collections of the Hong Kong banker Kwok On,the French Sinologist Jacques Pimpaneau, and the Chinese Department of Université de Paris. Among them, there are a large number of Chinese dramas and fold songs, including handwritten copies of Shadow Opera and Cantonese Opera,mill-block-printed copies of Cantonese Opera and Chaozhou folk songs, and machineprinted copies of Nanyin and Muyushu, some of which are rare versions.
