繆荃孫認為,《嘉定維揚志》等六種大典本是四庫館臣輯出而為《四庫全書總目》失收者。這一觀點在四庫學及《永樂大典》研究者中影響頗大。事實上,《嘉定維揚志》應為大典本《維揚志》,并不是四庫館臣輯出的,而是阮元于嘉慶十四年冬在全唐文館中輯出的,包括:《通州志》一本、《嘉定重修真州志》一本、《嘉泰廣陵續志》一本、《寶祐惟揚志》六卷(兩本)。這四種方志均為明初揚州府所屬地區的方志,故均收于《大典》"揚州府"中。阮元從《大典》中將這四種舊志輯佚出來,以作為揚州府之宋代舊志。道光二十三年(1843),大典本《維揚志》因阮元家遭火災而被焚毀。至于繆氏提到的其他五種大典本,可能多為四庫館臣私輯之大典本,而作為私輯之大典本,當然也不會被《四庫總目》著錄。

Miao Quansun believed that the six books including JIADING WEIYANGZHI,which failed to be included in SIKU QUANSHU ZONGMU,were collected from YONGLE DADIAN by the officers who compiled SIKU QUANSHU,and his view had a great effect on later scholars.However,JIADING WEIYANGZHI which was collected by Ruan Yuan instead of these officers in 14thyear of Jiaqing Era when he compiled the QUANTANGWEN was the edition collected from YONGLE DADIAN,This book consists of TONGZHOUZHI,JIADING CHONGXIU ZHENZHOUZHI,JIATAI GUANGLINGXUZHI,and 6volumes of BAOYOU WEIYANGZHI.Regarding all these books compiled in the early Ming Dynasty were about the region subordinated to the Prefecture of Yangzhou,they were included in the part on Prefecture of Yangzhou in YONGLE DADIAN.Ruan Yuan collected their scattered parts from YONGLE DADIAN and believed them as chorographies of the Song Dynasty.In the 23thyear of Daoguang Era(1843),WEIYANGZHI was burned down by fire.As the other five books mentioned by Miao Quansun,they were probably privately collected by officers from YONGLE DADIAN,so they couldn’t be included in SIKU QUANSHU.
