As a teaching tool, curriculum map is widely used in information literacy education abroad. Thecombination of curriculum map and Information Literacy Framework of Higher Education of ACRL could provide uswith a new teaching idea. The Health Science Curriculum Map of the University of Illinois Library creativelyexplains the medical evidence-based practice and the concept of information literacy threshold value mentioned inInformation Literacy Framework of Higher Education,establishes links between learning objectives and learningcontents,and constructs the educational contents for university students of different grades and different levels,soas to achieve pertinent goals of the information literacy education. Based on the analysis of the implementing processand the characteristics of the Health Science Curriculum Map, this paper puts forward some suggestions forinnovating Chinese university libraries’ information literacy teaching strategies, i. e., to concentrate on theapplication of curriculum map in information literacy teaching, play a leading role in the construction ofinformation literacy curriculum map based on Information Literacy Framework of Higher Education,reveal thetransition from general literacy education to precision literacy education in the form of curriculum map,and usecurriculum map to achieve win-win cooperation among all parties concerned.
