　　　　　以往一些DEA方法的實證應用研究無論在非營利組織或營利組織方面，都僅應用於 同一產業的各分立組織的評估，或同一企業組織內的各明顯分立分支單位之評估，未曾應用 於同一企業組織內各產品線或事業單位的評估。 本研究對於 DEA 方法在實務應用方面的創 新點， 在於希望利用 DEA 對同一企業組織內分立性、自主性不強的同質產品線或事業單位 加以評估， 並將評估結果與企業在經營管理上的實際狀況做一比對，以驗證 DEA 方法能反 應各同質產品線或事業單位的經營管理問題， 使 DEA 模式可成為企業內部診斷的一項有力 工具。 本研究應用 DEA 方法於航空公司重要的國際客運航線的相對效率評估，並解釋分析 結果；最後將評估結果與各航線在經營管理上的實際狀況進行比對。 主要的研究結論為：( 一 ) 與其他常用的績效評估方法進行比較， DEA 方法在理論方式及實證應用兩方面均有相 當的適用性， (二 ) 以 DEA 方法應用於企業的同質產品線或事業單位之相對效率評估，可 做為企業內部診斷的一項有力工具。在實證研究方面，從 DEA 方法的分析結果可以得知：( 一 ) 受評估航線的相對經營效率分數， (二 ) 相對無效率航線的無效率來源主因是技術問 題，或是規模不當所致，(三 ) 相對無效率航線為了提高經營效率，所應致力改善的投入產 出因素及改善幅度，(四 ) 各航線所處的規模報酬階段。
　　　　　In this study we compare DEA model kwith other perfomrance assessing approaches, then apply it to assess the efficiency of eight international routes of an international airline company. The result of assessment via DEA model is generated for futher comparison with real managerial situations. Conclusions of this study are as follows: (1) Compared with other performance assessing approaches, DEA model has better adaptability both in theoretical and empirical aspects. (2)To assess the relative efficiency of homogeneous product-lines or businessunits, DEA has been proved to be a reliable tool. The specific quantitative results from application of DEA model to airlines business include:(1)relative efficiency scores of different routes. (2)inefficiency sources either from technical consideration or improper scales.(3)magnitude of various input-output factors to be improved for those inefficient routes. (4)level of return to scale of each route assessed.
