題名:從中國傳統文化思想及價值觀論目標取向理論在華人社會的應用

     過去華人社會有關學習動機的研究主要是建基於西方的動機理論之上,但基於中西文化的差異,西方的理論未必完全適用於解釋中國學生的學習動機。本文選擇了西方其中一個重要的學習動機理論一目標取向理論作討論的重心,透過闡釋西方學者對此理論的批評和補充,以及中國傳統文化對學習的看法,從兩方面提出了將目標取向理論應用在研究中國學生學習動機時要注意的地方:在目標取向的類別方面,本文建議在原有的學習性和表現性目標之外,再加上外在性及社會性的目標;而在目標取向對學習過程的影響方面,本文提出了中國傳統文化中的集體取向、重視教育、重視努力和未來取向,發揮了中介影響的作用,改變了外在和表現性目標對學習所產生的負面影響,從而對中國學生有較正面的影響。在加入了中國傳統文化作為考慮因素之後,不但豐富了目標取向理論原來的內容,而且可以使得此理論能夠更適切地運用在華人社會的研究中。
