在少子化與大學校院林立之衝擊下，為因應未來廣大就業市場需求並擴展國際化，協助學生提早職涯規劃，強化專業職能，縮短學用落差時程，卓越發展及系所特色已成為國內大學辦學的領導主流。而「運動藝術」（exercise performing arts）乃為近年各大學校院體育系所積極展現教學成果及創意潛能之平臺，除競技體育外，以科學、健康、休閒、藝術為發展基礎，一方面可保存傳統體育文化技能風采，另一方面可突顯現代時尚運動文化暨風格趨勢，以達成追求卓越、提升學術之品質，並培育就業職場之優質人才。本文藉由「運動藝術」之定義，對於運動藝術的發展進行分析，並探討運動藝術在未來運動與藝術之機的重要性。

Under the impact of low birth rate and the proliferation of universities and colleges, it is important to respond to international expansion and to enlarge job markets in future. To assist students planning their career path earlier, to strengthen their professional skills, and to minimize the gap between academic and practical use have become the leading streamlines for universities in developing excellence and uniqueness. In recent years, the Physical Education Department of many universities and colleges has used Sports Arts as a platform to showcase teaching results and creativity. In addition to competitive sports, the use of science, health, leisure, and arts as the basic foundation for development would enable the school to retain the cultural essence of traditional sports. On the other hand, it would highlight the trend of modern lifestyle in sports culture. It would also help to achieve excellence, to enhance academic quality, and to cultivate career talents.
