本研究的目的在於將Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing(UPC)理念導入醫療及生活環境中,期能藉由整合生醫感測器、無線通訊、與資訊科技,建構出一個U-Healthcare的情境感知服務環境,各情境資訊均可透過無所不在的運算快速進行通訊與傳遞。本雛形系統以血氧監測應用於阻塞型睡眠呼吸中止症(Obstructive sleep apnea,OSA)為例,利用藍芽無線血氧脈搏感測器傳回患者每個時刻所採集的生理訊號,即時監測是否發生睡眠呼吸障礙,透過監測機制的建立、刺激模組的設置、及Zigbee資料傳輸的功能,若系統判斷結果顯示病患有發生睡眠呼吸障礙,此時系統會即時傳送控制訊息至刺激模組,經由輔助病患改變睡姿來改善其呼吸道阻塞的問題。對於較輕度的病患而言,期能有效的以較低成本與即時便利的方式改善其睡眠品質。本雛形系統功能設計亦可長時間連續記錄血氧值並據以計算睡眠呼吸指數(RDI),可有效簡化傳統費時且花錢的多導睡眠監測(PSG)檢查程序,並能輔助提供睡眠治療單位之參考。
The purpose of this study is to construct a U-Healthcare context aware service environment by incorporating Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing (UPC) into health care and living environment, and by integrating the bio-sensors, wireless communication and information technology such that the context information can be quickly through the ubiquitous computing to improve communication and delivery. Using the concept of the deoxygenation status and the use of pulse oxymeter in the monitoring of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), this system constitute of an oxygen monitoring and stimulating module. A wireless oxymeter apparatus with bluetooth will detect time-collected physiological signals. This real-time monitoring will return data to the system to detect any sleep-breathing disturbance. Furthermore, Zigbee data transfer function determines if the system showed that sleep-disordered breathing occurs. Then the system will immediately send a control message to the stimulus module, to improve patient respiratory pattern by changing the sleeping posture. For patients with mild sleep breathing disorder, it can be an effective, with lower cost, and convenient way to improve the sleep quality. The system design also features a long-term continuous record of oxygenation status and to calculate the value of sleep apnea index (RDI). It can simplify the traditional time-consuming and costly polysomnograph (PSG) testing process and could help to provide supplementary information for sleep therapy unit.
