目的：海洛因使用者大多吸菸，而吸菸會影響自律神經系統，呼氣一氧化碳濃度與海洛因線索誘發的生理反應之的關聯尚不明確。此前導研究中，探討呼氣一氧化碳濃度與線索誘發膚電阻改變之間連。方法：測量17 位海洛因使用者的呼氣一氧化碳，並測量看中性影片以及海洛因相關影片時的膚電阻。結果：呼氣一氧化碳濃度與線索誘發的膚電阻改變具有顯著的正相關 (ρ = 0.54, p ＜ 0.05)。結論：吸菸可能與海洛因誘發的自律神經反應之間有關連。在利用膚電阻做為物質濫用的研究工具時，或需考量抽菸以及呼氣一氧化碳濃度。

Objectives: Cigarette-smoking which may alter the autonomic nervous system, is prevalent among heroin users. But whether the expired air carbon monoxide (CO) level is associated with physiological responses induced by cues in heroin users is unclear. In this pilot study, we intended to probe the association between breath CO level and the change in the cue-induced skin conductance level (SCL) in patients with heroine use. Methods: We measured the breath CO levels of heroin users who smoked (n = 17, 13 males and 4 females), their SCLs, during neutral video and cue video exposure. Results: An association was found between a high breath CO concentration and cue-induced SCL elevation (ρ = 0.54, p ＜ 0.05). Conclusion: The finding implied that a high CO level caused by cigarette smoking is associated with automatic responses induced by heroin-related cues in patients with heroine use. To control for CO level when using the SCL as a variable in addiction- and substance-related studies, is important.
