目的:行政人員是病人在醫院接受整體服務的過程中是不可或缺的,很久以來行政人員在醫院所受到的關注較少。本研究希望探討醫院行政人員的人格特質、溝通能力與工作滿意度的議題。期望這個議題能給醫療產業應徵行政人員時能做參考。方法:本研究透過量表分析行政人員A型人格、溝通能力、工作滿意等方面的情形。共發出210份主管問卷,有效問卷180份,使用驗證性因素分析及結構方程模式進行檢測。結果:本研究發現醫療行政人員的個性越趨向A型人格對於溝通能力有負面影響,而且也影響工作滿意度,但並未發現溝通能力中介的效果。結論:A型人格對於追求工作目標成就比一般人要強烈,建議可以針對這類型的員工給不同的工作滿意度的來源。此外,A型特質的人應強化與人的溝通能力。

Objectives: Administrative staff are indispensable during the process of patients receiving overall services. Less attention has been paid to administrative staff in hospitals for a long time. This study intends to investigate issues concerning personality traits, communication skills, and job satisfaction of administrative staff in hospitals. Hopefully, the investigation results may serve as a reference for the medical industry to recruit administrative staff. Methods: This study analyzed type A personality, communication skills, and job satisfaction of administrative staff using a scale. A total of 210 supervisor questionnaires were distributed and 180 valid questionnaires were returned. This study used confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling to perform tests. Results: This study discovered that the inclination towards type A personalitiesy of medical administrative staff has a negative impact on communication skills and also affects job satisfaction. However, this study found that communication skills do not have a mediating effect. Conclusions: People with type A personality have a stronger motivation to pursue job objectives and achievements. It is advised to provide employees with type A personality with different sources of job satisfaction and enable them to bring their skills and talents into full play. Moreover, people with type A personality traits should strengthen their communication skills with people.
