本文主要目的在剖希雷根主義之理論基礎，其基礎建立在霸權主義、反共產主義、反恐怖主義、和雷根經濟學之上。 雷根主義，戰略上一反卡特政府，主張美國強權，以保護美國的國家利益。為了扭轉美國頹勢，追求霸權主義，特別是經濟和軍事方面的強權，為雷根推展外交工作之所最愛。反共產主義和反恐怖主義，則是恢復往日圍堵政策，抗衡蘇聯復甦的共產勢力，並且抵擋第三世界之恐怖主義政策和反美活動。 結論，作者發現雷根主義之理論部分有其優先順序，其理論大部份來自學術界研究的建議和批評，從整體理論來看，最重要的，雷根為美國人民創造一種心理上的權力現象，特別是假借雷根經濟學所謂巫毒經濟學所帶來的雷根革命為然。
The main purpoose of this paper is to discuss the theoretical basis of Reagan Doctrine which is built upon pro-hegemony, anticommunism, counterterrorism as well as Reaganomics. Reagan Doctrine represents a clear strategic departure from the Carter years and exihits the administration's determined use of American power to defend the country's interests. For Reagan, reversing America's decline means recovering hegemony of American Power, especially the rejuvenation of economy and military, his favorite foreign policy tools. Anti-communism and counterterrorism campaign in Reagan's effort to restore the strategy of constainment to counter the rise of Soviet military power and confront the anti-Americanism demonstration of pro-terrorism thrid world governments. In conclusion, the author finds that the theory of Reagan Doctrine exists its proiority, a lot of them adopt from various suggestion and critics of academic research. The most important is that the whole theory creates for American people a psychological power phenomenon, particularly Reaganomics so-called woodoo economics brings with the Reagan revolution.
