本文旨在探討entropy在中文參考書被翻譯的名詞變化。著者比較近60種中文參考書（百科全書、科技辭典、英漢辭典等）針對entropy的翻譯，結果發現有「熵」、「□」、「堙」、「謫」、「亂」、「平均訊息量」、「平均資訊量」、「熱力學函數」等八種不同的翻譯。本文將這些不同的翻譯名詞、參考書的名稱以及頁碼等資料列出，以供查證與參考。

This article investigates the different Chinese translations of Entropy in Taiwan. More than fifty Chinese dictionaries and encyclopedias are collected and checked. The results show that there are eight different Chinese translations of entropy in those reference books, and most of them are misleading. This is a sign of disorder in the translation of terminology in Chinese reference books, and it deserves our attention.
