History is a record of human behavior and conduct; literature is a reflectioni of human spiritual emotions. Behavior and emotions are two sides of a coin. However, only when history becomes historical data, does it lay more emphasis on objective description, whereas emotions emphasize subjective expression when they ae changed into literary data. The aim of the current survey is to integrate the two fields of data in my study so as to reveal the reciprocal relations between them. That is, "to testify to history with poetry and to interpret poetry with history." Accordingly, the employment of the background of the "disorder of Chin Kang" in the Sung Dynasty is based on the following factors. 1. It is the radical change in the history of the Sung Dynasty, leading to the separated reigns of North and South, and great influence on various aspects. 2. It is the invasion of an alien tribe that results in the Sung Dynasty's losing its territory and begging for peace, and humiliation to the ruler, all these bringing about profound stimulation. 3. It embarks on the abundant creation of lyric poetry; in research, there are sufficient data that can be referred to. As regards the method empolyed, referent comparisons and interpretation are mainly utilized so that the current survey reveals the dual significance of the cognizance of the historical fact and the interpretation of literary works.
