人文學科的歷史形成包含四個重要的前提,涉及現代的人文知識與傳統的宗教知識或是經學知識之間的關系、人文學科與自然科學學科的關系、近代東西文明之間的關系、人文學科知識的形成與文化運動以及新知識階層的出現之間的關系。伴隨著全球化、區域化的進程,人文學科在當今世界面臨一些重大挑戰,這些挑戰事實上也在挑戰人文學科在近代形成的那些前提。

The historical formation of the disciplines of the humanities contains four significant components that concern the relationship between modern humanistic knowledge and traditional religious knowledge or the knowledge of the classics,the relationship between humanities and natural sciences, the relationship between modern eastern and western civilizations,and the relationship between the formation of humanistic knowledge and cultural movements as well as the emergence of new cultural classes. With the development of globalization and regionalization, humanities in the modern world face some major challenges, which, in turn, challenge the formation of modern humanitistic disciplines.
