The literary creation of minorities in Scotland,Wales,and Ireland in the framework of English literature occupies a pivotal position. Nationalism and pragmatism are always two important themes of British minority literature. This paper analyzes the text meanings of the two major themes and explores its internal causes from the perspective of the theory of post colonialism.
