General verbs and conjunctions are special types of adverbial marks of Tibetan Burman languages. The serial verb constructions and the coordinate structure are the syntactic cradles from which general verbs and conjunctions developed to the adverbial marks respectively. Because of the similarity of the original syntactic environment, both of them can conspire, complement for each other, and even transform to the other. The difference of the prominent position between the serial verb structure and the coordinate structure in the languages restricts the choice of the adverbial mark type in the syntactic system.
