This paper is based on "A study of writings on the adherents to a former dynasty in Zhou Gongchen’s, Huang Wenhuan’s, and Wang Fuzhi’s Chu Ci monograph " As the title, it aims to explore the feelings of the survivors enshrined in Zhou Gongchen's "Li Sao Cao Mu Shi", Huang Wenhuan's "Chu Ci Ting Zhi", and Wang Fuzhi's " Chu Ci Tong Shi".
First, in the introduction, explain the research background, research overview, research methods and research scope. Secondly, it explains the writing style and characteristics of Zhou Gongchen's "Li Sao Cao Mu Shi ". Zhou Gongchen uses the calligraphy of "Chun Qiu " to discuss the distinction between loyalty and traitor, and discusses how Qu Yuan remonstrated with the emperor but the emperor refused to remonstrate. Zhou Gongchen understood Qu Yuan's sorrow, resentment and anger, and he also used the mentality of the survivors to examine the famous objects in "Chu Ci".
Then, the writing style and characteristics of Huang Wenhuan's "Chu Ci Ting Zhi" are explained. Huang Wenhuan believes that Qu Yuan's loyalty means filial piety. The evil sycophant misled the king and framed the loyal ministers, but the loyal ministers were no match for the villain's insidious means. Huang Wenhuan also discussed Qu Yuan's resurgence and revenge because the king was fatuous, but he expected the king to use the wise and take revenge on Qin. Huang Wenhuan researched Qu Yuan's deeds, which meant to restore his innocence.
Thirdly, it explains the writing style and characteristics of Wang Fuzhi's " Chu Ci Tong Shi ". When Wang Fuzhi discussed Qu Yuan's emotions, he believed that he had sympathy with Qu Yuan. He also believes that the harm caused by evil and sycophancy is the same in ancient and modern times. He talks about the foolishness of the king, but also expects the king to use virtuous people. Wang Fuzhi used the perspective of a southerner to examine the "Chu Ci", thereby returning to the image of Qu Yuan as a Chu person.
Finally, the author summarizes the sentiments of the survivors in Zhou, Huang and Wang's annotations of "Chu Ci", including "sympathizing with Qu Yuan", "criticizing evil sycophants", "condemning the king", "confronting Qin", and "textual research on Chu Ci". From this we can see that there are similarities and differences in the issues they are concerned about.
The summary is that Zhou Gongchen, Huang Wenhuan, and Wang Fuzhi annotated the "Chu Ci" as Ming survivors, and expressed the feelings of the survivors in their works. They expressed their feelings for the Ming Dynasty and their resentment towards the Qing court through the study of "Qu Yuan" and "Qu Yuan". "Chu Ci" was written in it. They annotated "Sao" not only about Qu Yuan, but also about themselves. From this, we can see the importance of Zhou, Huang and Wang's "Chu Ci”monograph.
