The automobile industries both in Taiwan and in China, after entering World Trade Organization (WTO), are facing the competitive threats from those in Western countries, such as U.S., France, German, and in Japan. However, the rapid growth of automobile market in China still provides great opportunities. On the other hand, The industrial environment in China is fostering one for automobile industry with lower labor cost, inexpensive materials, and regulated policy, although China lacking capital, trading skills, administration knowledge, and R&D technology. China needs outside facilitation not only from automobile industries in Western countries, and in Japan for R&D and innovation technology but also from that in Taiwan, who has more capital, administration knolwedge, better manufacturing skills, and higher quality of automobile parts. Taiwan also has its advantages in geography, such as location, culture, and language, comparing to Western countries and Japan. As such, Taiwan is able to play the role of coordinator for the collaborations among global automobile industries to form a supply chain. This research found that the model with collaboration among global automobile industries to form supply chain under Taiwan’s coordination is the best one to enter the automobile market in China.
