     全語言教學一直是語言教育工作者所廣為注意的焦點,其原因不僅是因為全語言教學在北美歷史中,對教學派典有深遠的影響,也因為全語言教學一直是學者間所爭論的議題。本研究為探索全語言教學的最深層根源,首先將說明全語言教學的意涵,然後分別自促使教學派典轉變的自然科學原動力,以及完整建構主義論,包括語言習得、學習者觀、學習理論、課程組織、學習活動、學習環境、教材使用、教師角色等層面,分別闡釋全語言教學的自然與社會科學派典。
