     我國的科技教育深受美國的科技教育影響,但吾人對其鄰國加拿大的科技教育成就了解不多,若能再探究其科技教育發展情形,則將更有助於提昇我國科技教育的發展。本研究之主要目的,在對加拿大中小學科技教育學習評鑑之理論與實況進行研究。全文所採取之具體方法包含:文獻分析、實地訪問與蒐集資料、網路資料蒐集、以及問卷調查。研究結果依以下順序呈現:(一)學習評鑑的理論基礎、(二)校內學習評鑑概況、(三)教學實施現況、(四)學習評鑑實施現況、(五)教師從事教學時遭遇的困難、以及(六)教師對科技教育未發展的看法。 在實地訪問和調查研究學習評鑑的實施方式所見,中小學科技教育教師使用之學習評鑑策略頗具多元化,其中以觀察法在課堂上具有舉足輕重的重要性。以學習評鑑內容而言,學習評鑑的共同特色在於強調學習過程更甚於強調學習成果。例如,小學教師以觀察學生討論過程和問題的方式幫助學生學習;中學教師要求學生認真和熱衷於學習以便爭取較佳的評鑑結果。 最後作者除了分別對加拿大英屬哥倫比亞省教育廳、加拿大科技教育學者和師資培育機構、加拿大中小學教師、以及未來研究方向等方面提出建議之外,亦對我國科技教育的發展提出建議:(一)在在職進修課程和師資培育課程中強調學習評鑑的理論與實務,(二)科技教育教師應該建立多元學習評鑑的觀念,(三)小學教師應該將生活科技教育融入其它科目的教學活動,(四)科技教育教學活動應該更加活潑化和多樣化。
     The main purpose of this study is to explore the practice of assessment of technology education in Canada. The methodology researcher used including literature review, field visitation and questionnaire survey through e-mail. In Spring 2000, the researcher visit 5 secondary schools at Vacouver. In Winter 2000, questionnaires were sent to schools in B.C., Canada. 32 teachers returned the questionnaires. According to the research findings, the researcher concluded this study in six concerns: theory of assessment, teaching and evaluating material, instruction practice, assessment practice, difficulty in technology education, and the future of technology education. Finally, suggestions were proposed to the following directions: Canadian Government, Canadian researchers, Canadian teachers, Taiwanese teachers, and further research.
