　　身心障礙者「就業轉銜」係轉銜服務中的主要項目，於美國社會福利與特殊教育的領域中更受到相當大的關切與重視。尤其隨著一系列法規的制定與要求，以增進就業能力並改善就業條件等等有關就業轉銜的議題，均引起美國學界廣大的討論與呼籲。本文謹就身心障礙者社會福利與特殊教育歷史發展觀點，探討美國身心障礙者就業轉銜服務之發展與演進，美國就業轉銜之基本精神與概念核心，揭藥美國就業轉銜服務的作法與特色，以供改善發展我國社會福利與特殊教育之參考。
