在圖書資訊學界,有關資訊獲取與資訊擁有(information access vs. information
ownership)的爭論,近年來甚囂塵上,最近,資訊獲取這個觀念卻受到另一層面的批評,問
題根源是將資訊為物件(object)的想法。本文由獲取的本意談起,說明將資訊視為物件、強
調資訊獲取出現的問題,反思資訊服務的哲學內涵。最後筆者認為,圖書館界不能再滿足於
將資訊視為物件的獲取服務效率中,有必要作一個典範的轉移,邁向以使用者主體的閱讀研
究及資訊使用研究。
"Access vs. ownership" has become one of the critical issues in library and information
studies. Especially, there are much criticism about information access, the origin of this criticism is
related to the idea of information as object. For this reason, the author first elucidates the problems
of the concept of information access in this article, then discuss the philosophy of information
service. Finally, the author offers her view about the future role of libraries, and the library
management paradigm should be change. The author advocates reading research and information
use studies should be given more attention.
