　　　　　本論文旨在分析安琪拉．卡特小說《英雄與惡棍》中對女性欲望的處理。卡特在本書中探索欲望與其所謂的父權社會虛構文本之間的曖昧關係，並呈現女性在此關係之中如何地與自身的欲望疏離。筆者認為，卡特藉著將哥德式小說中的魔鬼情人陰性化的手法顛覆此文類，並彰顯女性欲望與性意識如何定著在男性的欲望邏輯之中，從拉岡精神分析理論的觀點來看，此引導欲望的邏輯即是幻象。本文將藉由拉岡學派的觀點來分析文本中的女性如何脫離父權社會幻象的掌握進而為自身的欲望找著發聲點，不再與自身的欲望疏離。

　　　　　This paper aims to analyze Angela Carter's treatment of the female desiring subject represented in her novel Heroes and Villains. Creating a female character who is “a stranger to her own desire,” Carter explores the intricate connection between desire and patriarchal social fictions. It is my contention that by feminizing the role of demon lover in Gothic romance, Carter manifests how a woman's desire and even sexuality are hinged on the fantasy that proffers a masculine rationale of desire. With a Lacanian approach, which helps to decipher the mystery of the unconscious desire, this paper will explore how the female desiring subject represented in this novel finds a way to articulate her own desire and obtains a self-made answer to the enigma of the Other's desire.
