　　　　　本文是探討一位車禍後脊髓損傷患者無望感之照護經驗。於護理期間運用田野研究法透過觀察、會談、傾聽等技巧收集資料，完成十五篇行為過程記錄。依據賀斯希望指標（認知 / 時間、情感 / 行為、歸屬 / 關係層面）為評估指引，確認個案有焦慮、無望感等主要護理問題。首先，在照護期間運用人性關懷與個案建立信任的護病關係，逐漸深入了解其擔心、害怕。藉由提供社會資源、介紹成功案例，以及不斷地給予鼓勵，恢復其價值信念及希望感受，進而重新思索生命意義，最後協助個案渡過無望感。
　　　　　The Study described the nursing experience of caring for a patient with spinal sord injury and the subsequent hopelessness after car accident. The study employed field research method by means of observation, interview, and listening techniques to collect data. After that, fifteen processing records were completed and analyzed. In this study, Herth Hope Index (Cognitive-temporal dimension, Affective-behavioral dimension, Affiliate-contextual dimension) was adopted to identify that the patient's major nursing problems included anxiety and hopelessness. According to human caring, the trust relationship between the patient and the nursing staff was hence created. Moreover, the patient's worries anad fears were gradually revealed by in-depth and frequent interactions. Secondly, for the purposes of maintaining value-belief and hope, the patient was successfully encouraged by introducing some social resources and inspirational cases. Consequently, the patient has been progressively encouraged to recover her self-confidence and consider the deeper meaning of life. Accordingly, the patient conquered the hopelessness.
