As the European Union becomes a political entity with 25 members’ states, it is
also the biggest economic entity of the world, the biggest market, and the biggest
trade entity. Especially, with a population of four hundred fifty million of human
beings, the EU is actually the biggest advanced political union of the world.
However, the so-called one super power with multi powers international system is not
led by the EU but by the USA. In fact, both the EU and China are not very satisfied
with the existing international system. With a world geopolitical consideration, the
EU and China have the common interests to establish global strategic partner relations.
This article aims to analyze the China policy of the EU with a Taiwanese perspective
hoping to understand the cooperation and conflict between the two new rising powers.
