In Taiwan, the novels published in the Japan's colonial time period were mainly focused on topics of anti-colony and anti-tyranny. Those heavy emphasized plots on such subjects presented in the novels formed a unique feature in the field of Taiwan's literature. To those novels accomplished by those Taiwanese writers who had been abroad to Japan in the late 1940s, some, however, were presented with a modern stylish writing technique. Unfortunately, there have just been a handful discussions and critics on them. This study is trying to analyze and discuss the works done by one of the Taiwanese writers in that time period -- Weng Nao. His writing style was influenced by “New Sentiments School”, which was popular at that time period in Japan. Modeling the “New Sentiments School,” his delicate and fine writing technique uncovered the sensational world of human heart deeply. To his excellent contribution, it should be an enlightenment of a new trend of writing in Taiwanese literature.
