Just like E-commerce activities, people pay more attention to the privacy issue on using hospital websites than before; however, people also highly focus on these issues whether the hospital websites provide enough information on how to protect personal data, and those sensitive information in interactive process or after completing process, and whether the personal information is used properly. This research was based on the searching strategy on NHI contracted medical care institutions and on the four information portals in Taiwan, and the multiple filtering conditions were used to choose 241 regional layer and above hospital websites doing investigation on information privacy policy, and suggestions after analysis and discussion were provided. The researching result revealed that over 75% of hospital websites did not disclose their privacy policy to users, and almost 50% of hospital websites did not have any descriptions on information practices. On the whole, most websites did not fully reach the requests of fair information practices, and it appeared we needed to improve strongly privacy protection policies on hospital websites. Furthermore, the difference of results of study between hospital ownership and accreditation were also worthy of doing further diagnosis and analysis.
