Juan Ramón Jiménez who received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1956 created a famous symbolic animal character, a little donkey, with his prose poem at his work for children readers, called Platero y yo (1914). The little donkey remains a symbol of tenderness, purity and naivety, and is used by the author as means of reflection about the simple joys of life and the nature. At the same time, the innovative form of poetry written prose at his work-prose poem is the main consideration of this article. We'll see some critics' arguments about the mentioned genre and try to realize how this poet used his metaphorical languages to create the idealized world for children.
