本文透過鍾肇政諸多關於原住民題材的小說之中，揀擇出長篇小說《馬黑坡風雲》及高山組曲《川中島》和《戰火》這三本以霧社事件為背景的著作做為分析文本，試論作者以一客家籍的作家身份，發自內心地對於原住民族陳述個人觀點和情感；並且加上本身曾親自採訪，當時參與霧社事件的靈魂人物之踏查經驗，將真實的臺灣原住民歷史事件，以不同於一般史實觀看的角度，探查在抗日意識外，他們所奉行不渝的gaya精神，才是引領他們起身反抗的重要關鍵。另一方面，從主要故事人物「莫那•魯道－畢荷－阿外－林兵長」這四人，爬梳並整理出鍾肇政筆下所凝塑而成「性格有異，精神該是一貫」（鍾肇政2002：263）的形象，藉由故事人物的性格描繪，融合作者個人意識，重現人物外在形象和時代精神，在以歷史為底的文本裡，對熟悉的歷史背景再行創造，建構具體的敘事情節，不僅引起讀者的共鳴，亦可覺察他懷抱著對臺灣關懷的深厚情感，賦予在這個歷史事件中，呈現出有別於現實的歷史題材書寫。

This study is basic on Aborigines of Taiwan. It has selected three novels which are Marhebo feng yun, Kawanakazima and Zhan huo from the writer of Chung Chao-Cheng, the sotries' background were basic on the Ooshen Event of Aborigines in Taiwan. The writer is from Hakka background, he has a realy emotions from her heart with the aborigines, he also has interviewed some important people who had experience with the Ooshen Event at that time. This study points out the different point of view from the historical research. This study points out that beside the disagreement to the Japanese controler and the revolution happened at that time, the spirit of gaya should be the main reason to lead them to the revolution. On the other hand, from the mail four roles "mona rudao-bihoh-awai-Hayasi Heicho" in the novels of Chung Chao-Cheng, the writer discovered that they all had the same spirit and the same faith even they all had different characters. From these different characters of people in these stories, the writer points out and rewiewing the sprit and faith for the time. This artical has it new point of view on its true historyal background, the writer describes the true stories with his caring and loving heart to Taiwan-the land the people.
