The Summit of German Education (Bildungsgipfel) was organized to deal with the long process of educational changes and to map out the coming phase of the German education. The idea of an ideal education which can maintain historical heritage and at the same time, deal with the problems of integration and globalization as well as educationinequality is what the Summit sought. This paper is treating the Summit as an integral text in the wide context, so that the Summit could be understood within a broader framework of reference.
