近年來，癌症年輕化的趨勢相當明確，象徵著有一群未成年的子女正受到癌 症風暴的影響，特別是處在青春期的子女，他們認知上的逐步成熟與發展，使他 們在父母罹癌過程中，更容易受到這個有死亡意像疾病的影響。 已有許多研究證明了父母罹癌對青少年子女的社會心理功能的影響，包括： 焦慮、沮喪、學習成就低與問題行為等。其中父母罹癌的青少年子女傾向於隱藏 或淡化他們對癌症的情緒反應，避免父母擔心或影響父母的情緒，這種消極的、 被動的、內隱式的行為被稱做「內在化行為」。青少年子女以內在化問題作為保 護父母的一種方式，避免讓父母在生病治療的過程中，仍要擔心青少年子女因為 父母生病所受到的影響與衝擊。 筆者認為內在化問題這種迂迴、隱晦的處理情緒的方式為一種利他的行為， 但青少年子女的內在化問題可能並沒有達到原始的目的，卻反而阻礙了父母對青 少年子女情緒狀況的瞭解與體諒。如果從制度面來思考青少年子女的內在化問 題，實務工作者或許可以跳脫修正家庭或青少年子女的思維，並肩和罹癌父母與 青少年子女一起創造所需要的服務與資源，建構出更符合父母罹癌家庭所需要的 資源網絡與福利制度。

Recently people get cancer at much younger age and most of their children are under 18 years old, especially their adolescent children who are gradually matured cognitively. As a result, these adolescent children are easily affected by cancer which means death and dying. A lot of researches proved that adolescent children are affected by cancer badly. Among these influences, adolescent children tend to hind their emotional reactions to cancer in order to avoid their parents worries. This way to manage their emotions is named “internalizing problems”. The author believes internalizing behaviors are based on altruism to protect their parents with cancer. However, this behavior could hinder their understanding and support between each other. From the perspective of system, practitioners could work with parents and children to construct resource networks and welfare systems, not just to fix family system.
