賽前焦慮的狀態與強度是影響運動表現的重要因子,且硫酸脫氫表雄淄酮(DHEA)於壓力的調適扮演重要的角色,但是DHEA與競賽前的焦慮狀態關係還不是很清楚,本研究目的為探討血液硫酸脫氫表雄淄酮(DHEAS)於競賽前的改變對於賽前焦慮狀態的影響。實驗方法以20名大專籃球運動員作為受試者,於訓練期與競賽期的運動前分別抽取靜脈血以及填寫改編版競賽狀態焦慮量表(modified Competitive State AnxietyInventory-2, modified CSAI-2),並以血液分離之血清測量DHEAS濃度。根據不同狀態下的血清DHEAS濃度將受試者分為DHEA升高組與DHEA降低組,結果顯示DHEA升高組的自信心強度於競賽前顯著下降,並且認知與身體焦慮對於表現的影響顯著的由正向轉為負向。儘管如此,相較於訓練期,DHEA降低組的焦慮狀態於訓練期與競賽前比較皆無顯著改變。本實驗結論為:根據上述研究結果,推測血液中DHEA於調適競賽前焦慮情緒扮演重要的角色。
Pre-competitive anxiety plays an important role in exercise performance. Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and its sulfate product (DHEAS) have been reported to act against psychological disturbance under stress condition. However, the change in DHEAS level under pre-competitive anxiety is remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to examine the changes in serum DHEAS levels and its impact on anxiety during pre-competitive condition. Twenty male professional basketball athletes (age 19.8 ± 0.3 years) were recruited in this study. All subjects completed the modified Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2 (modified CSAI-2) questionnaire and blood samples were collected for DHEAS measurement on two separate days; before training (training state) and prior to basketball game (pre-competitive states). According to the serum DHEAS level, all subjects were divided into DHEA-increased and DHEA-decreased groups. We found that self-confidence intensity was significantly (p < .05) lower during pre-competitive state compared to training state in DHEA-increased group. Similarly, direction of somatic and cognitive anxiety was significantly decreased under pre-competitive stress in DHEA-increased group. However, self-confidence and anxiety were not significantly changed between pre-competitive and training states in DHEA-decreased group. According to above evidences, we suggested that serum DHEAS could play a role in managing the anxiety under pre-competitive stress in basketball players.
