題名:產業類展示策略之探討 : 以臺灣電信產業系列展示為個案

產業類展示隨著保存產業文化資產之呼聲的興起,逐漸出現在國內觀眾的眼前,此種新鮮的展覽類別,為展覽的策展人帶來種種疑問與挑戰。為了探討產業類展示之策略制定所衍生的議題以及可能的解決方式,本文以國立科學工藝博物館(以下簡稱科工館)與中華電信合作推出之台灣電信產業系列性展示為討論焦點,進行該個案之展示策略研究;此外尚輔以常設展示之觀眾調查結果,實際了解觀眾的觀感和評價,藉此印證展示策略的成效。 根據觀眾調查結果顯示,常設展示之展示策略乃達到原設定之展示目標;而總結研究發現與探討,本文針對產業類展示之展示策略制定提出五項建議,包括:一是產業類展示之展示故事線的設定,應兼顧歷史軸與技術軸兩者;二是產業文物的展陳與詮釋之原則,兩大依據乃是文物之「年代」與「在技術架構中的位置」;三是若要創造展示對於觀眾的吸引力,則需從產業內涵與觀眾之間的連結著手;四是關於擴散展覽效益的形式,可以是實體也可以是虛擬,虛擬的數位形式有時反而帶來較大之彈性與效益;五是論及展覽中如何呈現產業的正面形象,除了有賴策展人尺度之拿捏之外,常設展示所採取之體驗產業相關服務方式,也是可行作法。
With the growing emphasis on preserving cultural industrial heritage, industrial exhibits have gradually appeared before the eyes of audiences in Taiwan. This novel type of exhibition category has brought various questions and challenges to the curators of exhibitions. In order to explore the issues and possible solutions relevant to industrial exhibition, this study uses the series exhibition of Taiwan Telecommunications industry jointly promoted by the National Science and Technology Museum and Chunghwa Telecom as the focus of discussion for exhibition strategy research. In addition, results of audience surveys at the regular exhibit are also used to understand the audience’s views and their evaluations to verify the achievements of the exhibition strategy. Results from audience surveys show that the exhibition strategies of the standing exhibits achieve the projected exhibition objectives. In sum of the research findings and examination, this study proposes five suggestions for exhibition strategies of industrial exhibition. First, the exhibition story line setting of industrial exhibition should cover both the facets of history and technology. Second, the two primary foundations of the principles of exhibiting and interpreting industrial artifacts are the “historical period” and “location in the technological framework” of the artifacts. Third, in order to promote exhibition attraction for audiences, it is necessary to focus on the connection between the content of the industry and the audience. Fourth, the dispersion of exhibition benefits can be physical or virtual; the virtual and digital forms sometimes bring greater flexibility and benefits. Fifth, the positive images of the industries in the exhibitions rely on the curator’s control over nuances, and it is also possible for the standing exhibition to carry out experiential services relating to the industries.
