The performance analysis for sports competitions is undoubtedly a critical success factor. Using technology assisted training or changing specialization war intelligence gathering enhance the level of volleyball tactics and training. The domestic research that analyze volleyball games scoring factors mostly focus on volleyball basic techniques. There is rarely sophisticated analysis of the factor categories. Therefore, this study analyzed six live games scheduled in Taiwan in the 2009 FIVB World Grand Prix for scoring factors by a precision digital playback system and the computerized observed program (PETSCOS). The results show that: First, "jump floater serve" is the most frequently used form of ace. Secondly, "long attack" is the main stream of attack. But, the more excellent record the team holds, the lower dependence on "long attack" the team is. Thirdly, "long attack" is also the main stream of offensive back. The more excellent record the team holds, the more diversified attack tactics the team use to win. Fourth, the advantage of jumping ability remains the major cause of "block scoring." Fifth, the more outstanding record the team holds, the higher score summaries of "one attack errors" and "offensive errors" the team haves. Finally, the scoring forms show "opponents errors" > "first attack scoring" > "offensive scoring" > "block scoring" > "ace." This study concludes the critical techniques to win a volleyball match to effectively train players and improve relevant tactical skills.
