文學透由有形的媒介運作，提供一個文學創作與發表的平臺，在「讀者」及「作者」的連結間，通過編審機制及殊異的評審組合，達成得獎作品的產出，以形成「文學獎」的文化場域，並成為行之有年的活動。跨過千禧年的世紀之交，儘管地方文學獎湧現，但「三大報文學獎」總是能夠吸引眾多的來稿。對照現今文壇「眾聲喧嘩」，強調多元及鼓勵異質的情狀來看，人們找到彼此能夠溝通的「共同性」（commoness），讓閱聽眾能夠理解或者感動。本研究所探討的「三大報新詩獎」，建立在「報紙媒體」的影響力，透過行之有年的舉辦，奠定它在文壇上的價值

Newspaper had been a significantly influential industry in the past. Assumed that who receives the Literature Prize, it would be possible to be a literature star as well as to publish books. Though the numbers of reading newspaper nowadays has been increasing as facing this transforming environment of mass-media, notably digital treads, numerous people still participate in Literature Prize competition per year. The three main Modern Poetry Prizes refer to the Modern Poetry Prize of United Daily News and China Times as well as Rong-San Lin Modern Poetry Prize of Liberty Times. Yet during the period from 2005 to 2013, refer to the joining of Rong-San Lin Modern Poetry Prize and the end of Literature Prize of United Daily News. The study aims to distinguish the differences of those methods with awarding the prizes, in addition to further find out the impacts and feedback of Modern Poetry Prizes and to see the positions of those Modern Poetry Prizes in. What is more, the study will examine the roles of poets and to understand whether it will be a trend or not
